Islamic Azad University, Jahrom Branch

To promote science and knowledge in the society and to facilitate higher education for the youth, Jahrom Branch of the Islamic Azad University was inaugurated in 1987 (1366, Iranian Calendar) and immediately commenced its academic activities to materialize the scientific values of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In the Charter of this Branch, along with the president, there are 6 vice-presidents as well including: Vice-president for Financial & Administration Affairs, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Vice-president for Research Affairs, Vice-president for Student Affairs, Vice-president for SAMA, and finally Vice-president for Planning & Development Affairs. There also exist three Schools namely School of Engineering, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, and School of Higher Education, which are all ready to serve and well-receive the students and, in general, the scientific society maximally.

 

Vice-president for Financial and Administration Affairs

Using devoted staff, this vice-presidency continuously endeavors to obtain updated knowledge of current and relevant rules and regulations and put them into effect following the policies of the Central Office of the Islamic Azad University. Among the other vice-presidencies, this one is deemed as an important and key one since it is responsible for an array of important activities including: All financial issues, property records, transfer of all assets available, etc. Through its two managers for Financial Affairs and Administrative Affairs, this vice-presidency endeavors, in coordination with other vice-presidencies, to regulate financial and administrative issues and accordingly to materialize the broad objectives of the university.

The charter of this vice-presidency includes: Secretariat; Store; Supplies; Transportation; Telecommunication, and Publication House.

 

 

Vice-president for Academic Affairs

Education is considered to be an important element in any educational setting, esp. the university. What is meant here by the term ‘education’ is the type of training that is systematic and updated. To attain this objective, the vice-presidency for Academic Affairs has worked around the clock from the very beginning of the establishment of the university to promote the quality of education among the students and the academics. To do this, it has introduced precise and objective-oriented planning following the approved policies of the Planning Council of the Central Office of the Islamic Azad University. To maximize the improvement level in all aspects, this vice-presidency has vibrantly recruited qualified professors as a means to attain the global standards in education.   

 

Vice-president for Research Affairs

Research – as the intellectual core and mastermind of the university – plays a key and strategic role in shaping all types of activities in the university. This vice presidency has targeted to boost as much as possible all research and research related issues within the university. To do so, it has endeavored to increase the quantity of academic disciplines as it has endeavored to increase development plans. This vice-presidency covers offices like: The Internet; Information Technology Department; Department of Equipping Laboratories; Scientific and Literary Associations; Office of Industrial Relations; Office of Planning, Programming and Budgeting; Library; Young Researchers’ Club; Publication House, etc.   

 

Vice-president for Students Affairs

This vice-presidency aims at monitoring and promoting students’ educational affairs and paving the way for activation of students’ potential talent and capabilities. Due to the facilities available and the strides made by the staff, this vice-presidency has succeeded in providing a convenient environment for students. This vice-presidency includes a number of offices and departments including: Office of Students Affair; Counseling and Mental Health Center; Disciplinary Committee; Transfer Students; Students’ Subject to Military Office Department; Student Dormitory; Graduate Students Department, and Allumni Association.  

 

Vice-president for Planning and Development Affairs

No doubt, during the past few years substantial development projects have been implemented in this university and accordingly this vice-presidency has vibrantly been active in this domain. In fact, it has been active in construction of the educational as well as research (i.e. laboratories, workshops) sports, administrative and cultural spaces in the best way possible while preserving the relevant standards.
